This is just a bit off topic today…

I was using igoogle today with my 4yo @ the computer with me and I realized their HOMEPAGE THEMES page opens with soft porn there as a HOTTEST item. Since I don’t change themes often I didn’t know how to quickly navigate away from the immodest naked lady.

The FIRST disappointing point is that GOOGLE  EVER offered soft porn as an option on iGoogle for it to BECOME a hottest item. It is scar to think that maybe KIDS ARE having that as their theme. The SECOND disappointment is that GOGGLE doesn’t filter PORN from their easy to access pages. I looked up to see if there were other complaints and there are some but obviously not enough to ask them to change.

I know many kids love iGoogle, in fact I love iGoogle. BUT now I see that until there is a way to keep the “HOTTEST” pornography items from popping up first my kids are BEING SLIMED EVERY TIME THEY CHANGE THEMES. That cannot be. They need to change or us parents need to stop the kids from using iGoggle.

We have nieces and nephews in Maine who LOVE Veggie Tales and we used to LIKE them but now we LOVE them too….

We are hoping to work togeher this week for a brief campain….

We happened to watch “Life Today” this week on Oct 21st and saw horror, saddness and joy. They were discussing the human slaves they make of kids today in many countries and how kids can help. http://www.lifetoday.org/site/PageServer?pagename=tel_USCalendar

We want to work together this week to raise $128 to rescue a child. SO FAR WE HAVE RAISED ENOUGH TO RESCUE 2 KIDS!!!!

 CAN U HELP US  GET TO ANOTHER $128????

What caught our attention on the video was the class of 2nd graders who did simple chores to raise $ to help Life Today work thru local missionaries to rescue children from Human Trafficking. By working together those KIDS raised enough to change 12 lives!! Kids who cared…awesome. Neither they nor the children they helped will be the same.

Here is the link again….be careful when u watch because the human traffickers deeds are difficult to watch @ times and may not be appropriate for young eyes. One of the kids I watched with were brought to tears… btw the 10/23 show many of the children who were rescued and their safe new life protected from human predetors.

It is time for Operation Christmas Child Gift Box Program again….the kids love to wrap presents for kids all over the world who live in poverty and need a touch from a friend. The details are on their website and we encourage u 2 hand your boxes in by Nov 16th to one of their locations.

While there are tips on the site we usually encourage friends to go to the store and get some toiletries, school supplies, toys and hard candy and put them in the largest shoe box they can find=)

last year we met via a phone chat each week to discuss and memorize  bible verses I Cor 13…
